Designed by a French architect Jean Blanchard in the 19th Century, The Tivoli Park is the largest and one of the most beautiful parks in the city centre. Together with the forested part of Rožnik and Šišenski hrib it forms a landscape park of 509 ha. Tivoli has a great social role in the lives of many Ljubljana’s inhabitants. People go there to relax, play with their pets or have a picnic. Tivoli is located near the central bus and train station, on its east side, and the student resident halls on its upper west side. It offers many indoor and outdoor sporting facilities that are run throughout the year. Tivoli is dog-friendly as there are doggy waste bins, equipped with bags and fresh drinking water throughout the park. Pets are welcome on all grounds to play and explore.
